Getting to DkIT

By Car

Follow the M1, direction north towards Belfast. Take Exit 16 and follow the signs to Dundalk. Turn left at XEROX junction. DkIT is half a mile along on the right hand side. See Google maps for more details and interactive journey planning. The campus is landmarked by a large wind turbine at its heart and the multi-story Crowne Plaza Hotel at its border. Pay and display parking is €2 for the day.

By Bus

There are regular bus services from all the main local and regional centres to Dundalk. The Institute is a 35 minute walk from Bus Eireann’s main terminus in Dundalk town centre. A number of buses from Dublin serve the Institute and will drop you right outside the building, the most frequent being Matthews (900/ 901 – direct services available) and Bus Éireann (100x – not direct).

By Train

Dundalk is served by the mainline train route between Belfast and Dublin. Dundalk’s train station is 3km from the Institute and roughly a 40minute walk. This station is served by the Dublin-Belfast route from Connolly Station. See schedules on the Irish Rail Website link.
